When Cardi B launched her official Instagram page, @iamcardib which now boasts well over 7.5 Million followers. It was unbeknownst to her that sharing 15 second “tirades” and “tell it like it is” videos with a comedic twist would impact her life so drastically. Or was it?

Blazing off her show-stopping performance at Hot 97’s Summer Jam, Cardi B unleashes her Kodak Black-inspired single, “Bodak Yellow (Money Moves).”
Heavily influenced by Lil Kodak’s “No Flockin,” the New York rapper rhymes about her haters, work ethic, and lifestyle.
“Honestly, don’t give a fuck ’bout who ain’t fond of me,” she raps. “Dropped two mixtapes in six months / What bitch working as hard as me? / I don’t bother with these hoes / Don’t let these hoes bother me / They see pictures, they say goals / Bitch, I’m who they tryin’ to be.”

As of now Cardi B has multiple offers on the table for TV shows, Films but says, “I’m not sure what I wanna do yet, but I know I wanna do something that makes people say wow”. Whatever she decides I’m 100% sure we will say just that.

In march of 2016 Cardi dropped her debut mixtape as then cast member on Love & Hip Hop titled Gangsta Bitch Music Vol. 1 and it outdid all expectations. Building on her already huge amount of visibility Cardi was able to do a full tour to push the mixtape and with a series of sexy music video’s proved that she is a legitimate artist.

In January of this year she dropped the highly anticipated follow up, Gangsta Bitch Music Vol. 2 and showed signs of growth in delivery and songwriting skills. After announcing that she would be leaving the LHH franchise reports came out that Cardi B had landed a multi-million dollar record deal with Atlantic records. With no official studio album yet to date the lady in waiting Cardi B was nominated for 2 Bet Awards Just last month, (Best New Artist & Best Female Rap Artist). Although she did not leave with a trophy she was grace full about it sending big love and congratulations to Remy Ma who ended Nicki Minaj’s 7 year winning streak, showing something that’s been rare in hip hop for many years, women that support each other. With a strong campaign over the next 12 months barring some freak of nature politics Cardi B will be back up for a few awards again and Is definitely poised to make her mark.
